3 Million Steps Journey 2025: Staying Strong and Motivated

Posted on February 1, 2025February 3, 2025 by Fiffibelle

Welcome to my 3 Million Steps Journey 2025 – my personal challenge to improve my health through daily walking, yoga, and a balanced lifestyle. Today is February 1st, and it’s time to update you on how my step challenge went in January. Let me start by saying – it didn’t go quite as planned!

I kicked off the year feeling a bit off, and by January 8th, I was diagnosed with a virus (sore throat, fever, fatigue, etc.). Soon after, I also developed sinusitis, which I’m still battling. Since getting sick, I’ve mostly stayed inside my apartment, and getting in as many steps as I had hoped for has definitely been a challenge. But despite everything, my motivation to hit my goal in my 3 Million Steps Journey 2025 has remained strong, and I’ve really worked hard to fit steps into my daily routine, even when it wasn’t easy.

To make sure I still got my steps in, I kept my phone either in the pocket of my hoodie or around my waist in a fanny pack, walking back and forth around the apartment. Back and forth, back and forth… 🙂

My Best Day in the 3 Million Steps Journey 2025

My best day in January was actually January 31st, when I hit 14,077 steps! It felt amazing to finally get outside in the fresh winter air. The past week has brought some beautiful winter days, and yesterday I finally got the chance to go out and enjoy the crisp air and the clear, fresh sky. I took a picture of the gorgeous new moon and filmed the breathtaking view (picture and video here). It was a magical feeling to get outside after a week of being sick and rack up so many steps on such a beautiful day!

Yoga and My Health Plan on My 3 Million Steps Journey 2025

Even though I didn’t get in all the steps I hoped for, yoga has been a crucial part of my health plan during my 3 Million Steps Journey 2025. I’ve practiced yoga every day as part of my goal to do yoga every day for 365 days. When I’ve been sick, I’ve focused on Yin Yoga – a calm and meditative form of yoga that has been perfect for me when my energy levels were low. I’ve noticed a huge difference, and I feel much more flexible and relaxed.

My yoga sessions have ranged from 20 to 60 minutes, and I’ve enjoyed doing the sessions with some incredible yoga instructors who inspire me daily. I share links to the sessions on my Instagram and Snapchat, so if you’d like to join me on this journey, feel free to follow along!

Weight Goals and Diet: A New Start

In addition to yoga, I’ve also started a new chapter with my diet. After kicking off the year with two weeks of low-carb eating, I’m now on day four of a nutrition plan consisting of 1,558 kcal per day, focusing on 154 g of protein, 100 g of carbs and 60 g of fat. I’ll share more about how it’s going as time goes on, but I already feel motivated and ready to see results.

Strength Training: From the Gym to Home

I started January with strength training at the gym, but illness forced me to adapt. I’ve now started doing light full-body strength workouts at home, which has been a great way to keep my body active despite not being able to train at the gym.

What I Learned During My 3 Million Steps Journey 2025 in January

January has been a challenge, but also a reminder that life doesn’t always go as planned. I’ve learned that it’s important to be flexible and adjust when things don’t go the way you envisioned. My goal of walking 3 million steps in 2025 is still very much alive, and I’m motivated to catch up on missed steps in the coming months.

Fiffibelle

Hi, I’m Fiffibelle! Welcome to my little space on the internet, where I share my journey toward a healthier, stronger, and more financially independent life.

For years, I lived in the moment without strict plans or resolutions. But 2025 feels different. This year, I’m taking control and making it my Year of Positive Change—a year where I actively shape the life I truly want!

My biggest passions are health, fitness, yoga, and personal growth. I have been strength training for over 13 years, and in 2024, I committed to practicing yoga every single day. My goal? To complete 365 consecutive days of yoga and, eventually, take a yoga teacher training. I also love creating and enjoying healthy, nutritious meals—for me, good food is an essential part of a balanced and happy life!

I also write about financial freedom and personal resilience. My financial journey hasn’t been easy—I’ve faced job loss, unpaid earnings, and years of wage deductions. But through it all, I’ve learned valuable lessons about money, self-reliance, and determination. Now, I’m rebuilding my financial stability, aiming to become debt-free, start investing, and take full control of my future.

When I’m not working toward my goals, you’ll likely find me unwinding with my favorite hobbies—knitting and crocheting. These creative outlets help me relax and recharge, reminding me to slow down and enjoy the moment.

This blog is a space where I document my progress, share insights, and (hopefully) inspire others to make positive changes in their own lives. Whether it’s about mindset shifts, fitness goals, financial independence, or simply finding joy in everyday life, I hope you’ll find something here that resonates with you.

"Things are always working out for me, no matter how it looks at any point in time."

Let’s grow and create a life we truly love—together! 🚀
